I was ...I saw the story and it hit me pretty hard. I was bullied all through middle school into high school. I made my college choice based on where the FEWEST of my high school peers were going so I could start over. My only mistake was being a quiet person, who didn't know a lot about hair and make up but was REALLY good at tennis. So, I endured being with the A-listers so I could play. Teenagers are all so insecure and somewhere along the way it became cool to watch another person panic, squirm with embarrassment and cry.

I often wonder if movies/media evolving over the years had a lot to do with it. If you think back to all the ''Pretty in Pink'' or ''Footloose'' movies there was a different message about being different than ''Dumb an Dumber'' or ''Clueless''. It the same thing with cartoons, they have sassy dialogue now between characters. Think about the difference between ''Phineaus and Ferb'' versus ''Garfield''(what we would have watched)

Now the challenge as a parent is to limit the exposure to all this!AWillmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02816314336741749608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7185999121957998644.post-21805931589061959682012-10-12T22:15:49.945-04:002012-10-12T22:15:49.945-04:00I saw the story on the news tonight. All I could ...I saw the story on the news tonight. All I could think of is what has our society come too,,,,,what are we teaching or not teaching our children that makes them think its ok to bully. That poor girl was terorized.Glohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07501457280483176930noreply@blogger.com
